The computer engineering group has a number of workstations and PCs served by a central multi-CPU server. Several of the workstations are multi-CPU machines. In addition to the normal computing resources, the group has a number of facilities for experimental research including an ATM switch, a hardware laboratory equipped with FPGA development platforms, oscilloscopes, signal generators, precision supplies, ammeters and voltmeters. The group also has CAD tools from Synopsys, Cadence and Xilinx for CAD related work. The group has recently received an NSF equipment grant which will be used to further improve the research facilities.
