Bio
Mi Lu received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Rice University, Houston in 1984 and 1987, respectively. She joined the department at Texas A&M in 1987 where she is currently a professor.
Lu’s research interests include computer arithmetic, parallel computing, distributed processing, computer architectures and algorithms, computer networks, computational geometry and VLSI algorithms. She has authored 4 book/book chapters and published over 200 technical papers in professional journals and top-venue conferences. She was invited as Panelist and Keynote Speaker, and was the winner of Innovative Paper Award by CSCI. She was the Conference Chair of 5 premium conferences and served on Technical Program Committees of 12 conferences. She has been a Guest Editor, Honorable Editor, Area Editor, and on 5 editorial boards of professional journals including the IEEE Transactions on ITS and on TNNLS. She has served on the review panel of the National Science Foundation. She has been the chair of 51 research advisory committees for PhD and Masters students. Her name has been listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
